To begin, have the target image layer selected, as I have captured above.
Next, go ‘Filter/Stylize/Find Edges’.
Will produce the following result.

Next, go ‘Filter/Sketch/Photocopy’.
Adjust the ‘Detail/Darkness’ sliders for a desirable smooth line edge.
